Oh Boy! I was a full-blown Charlton devotee during the late 70's and even to some extent when the fabled Derby, Connecticut company folded its tent in the early 80's. Countess Von Bludd was a worthy addition to Charlton's impressive roster of ghost hosts. She along with Winnie the Witch gave the gathering a sexy vibe. That's some rock-solid Ditko in that middle story.
ReplyDeleteLoved the Charlton line, especially the horror titles. About 20 years ago I bought a big stack of them from Mile High Comics for a song. They were mostly in VG-FN condition. I haven't checked to see if they've increased in value, but I really don't care -- I got 'em to read and enjoy!
