GODZILLA WEEK (DAY 6) JAPAN'S MASTER OF MONSTERS

One could say that Eiji Tsuburaya was the mastermind behind the monsters at Toho Studios. He had his talented hands in almost every aspect of a film's production. They couldn't have been any more fortunate.

This article from the August, 1960 issue of AMERICAN CINEMATOGRAPHER profiles Tsuburaya and his work. It is written by Clifford Harrington, a voice-over actor who lived in Japan and had insight into their film industry that we didn't have in the States.
