In this issue of Don Dohler's splendid fan magazine on cinema special effects writer Steve Polwort shows how to create a beam-down effect similar to that seen on TV's STAR TREK. There are also articles on amateur filmmakers shooting their own STAR TREK-inspired short films, and they look quite well done. Editor Don Dohler shows readers how to makeup the "cube head" seen in the TREK-tribute play at the University of Maryland campus theater.
