Released in October 1967, VAMPIRISME (VAMPIRISM) was a French short comedy/horror film running 12 minutes, written and directed by Bernard Chaouat and Patrice Duvic. It was produced by Les Films du Cosmos. While little production information is available, it was professionally shot in a documentary style with a full crew of actors, craftsmen and technicians.
This article from CONTINENTAL FILM REVIEW from June 1969 mentions its reappearance two years later in the French film circuit and refers to it as a black comedy.
Also mentioned is Jean Rollin's debut 1968 feature film LE VIOL DU VAMPIRE (aka THE RAPE OF THE VAMPIRE and VAMPIRE WOMEN). The dreamlike, surreal and erotic movie was a defining moment in his career and created a sensation when it played in Paris.
