Luis Dominguez Monsters of the Movies #1 Cover Preliminary Painting Original Art (Marvel, 1974). Marvel Comics' serious attempt to compete with Warren's Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine, the M.o.t.M. title would last nine issues under the direction of Roy Thomas. The debut cover painting was the only cover to depict all of the classic Universal monsters (the Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Mummy), and even included a sexy Fay Wray, being held captive by King Kong! This unsigned monster-fest is painted with acrylics on 14" x 18" canvas-wrapped board. In Excellent condition.
