It was 1974. Just months before, THE EXORCIST had hit the theaters in a flood of pea soup and head-twisting. Now the sex merchants wanted to get into the act...
A French publisher approached comics artist Ernie Colon to illustrated a sexy version of The Exorcist. Colon declined. After the offer of an apparent boatload more money, Colon accepted, and THE SEXORCIST was born.
Finding its way onto the adult magazine racks, the full-size magazine contained a "novel" by an uncredited writer and an illustration-per-page by Colon. Colon used line work, photographs and collage for the gender-bender story that was about a woman who was "possessed" in her dreams and became a murderous man-cat.
This 'zine has been cited as being "rare"; a small print run and little "collectible" interest at the time of publication were the two most likely factors. So what do I think of THE SEXORCIST? Da-dum. Da-dum. Da-dum...
Ha! That's a great find! Thanks!
