This collaboration between UK and US editorial staff and contributors such as Ramsey Campbell, Kim Newman and Stanley Wiater had a pretty good run in the late 80's and early 90's, lasting for 34 issues. A combination of horror film and fiction gave this publication something for every monster fan. This first issue features film coverage of John Carpenter's THEY LIVE and Neil Jordan's supernatural comedy, HIGH SPIRITS, and interviews with Peter Straub and the splatterpunk authors John Skipp and Craig Spector. Ramsey Campbell talks about influences on his writing and author Stephen Gallagher offers advice on researching locations for novel-writing. Included are three short stories, including one by Campbell.
