Well, monster lovers, 2021 is coming to a close and what better time than to review what's been going on in the world of horror over the years. This "bookazine" from the UK's Future Publishing that publishes TOTAL FILM and SFX is the fifth edition of their HORROR -- THE ULTIMATE CELEBRATION. While there are nods to classic horror films from the past such as PSYCHO, PEEPING TOM, THE WICKER MAN and the Hammer Dracula series, there is also plenty on newer films like HEREDITARY, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and the SCREAM and FRIDAY THE 13TH franchises. The 'zine is produced with the usual quality and care as their previous numbers and it makes for a great look back at our favorite horror and monster movies.
The 'zine is divided into five sections:
- Slashers
- The Paranormal and the Occult
- Hammer Horror and Vampires
- Zombies, Werewolves and Monsters
- Hardcore, Gore and Video Nasties
Bookending the sections are features on the 25 Greatest Horror Movies and the 50 Worst Horror Films.
So, to close out the year, I'll be posting the issue over the next few days for your entertainment and enjoyment.
