SO YOU (STILL) WANT TO WRITE A HORROR STORY . . .

If you're interested, but still on the fence about jumping in and writing a horror story, this article from THE WRITER (November, 2020) might offer you a few tips about how to proceed.

In his feature, "All The Things I Wish I'd Known As A Beginning Horror Writer", Bram Stoker award-winner Tim Waggoner takes the reader through a number of topics about writing horror fiction, including the first, most important one: Don't be afraid to write horror.

As a published writer myself, I can offer one more tip that may save you some frustration if you're looking to place a story in a publication: Write your story first, then seek the market, not the other way around.

Good luck!
