You gotta hand it to director Joe D'Amato, he sure could find beautiful women to star in his lurid erotic horror films. Take for instance, his 1980 mashup of sex and zombies, LE NOTTI EROTICHE DEI MORTI VIVENTI (USA title, EROTIC NIGHTS OF THE LIVING DEAD), where Indonesian/Dutch exotic beauty Laura Gemser once again parades around in her altogether while being menaced by monsters. Add Italian beauty, Dirce Funari and you've got a pair of ladies that more than make up for the usual D'Amato flesh feasting and gore. I'll leave any comments about any of its redeeming qualities to those who have seen it.
The film premiered in West Germany under the title, IN DER GEWALT DER ZOMBIES, and German publisher MPW put together another one of their low-quality, "unauthorized" Taschenbildbands (digest photo books) exploiting the already exploited.
