We are well familiar with Linda Blair's role as Regan MacNeil in 1974's THE EXORCIST. At that time, Blair was 13 years-old. It wouldn't be until be a couple of years later that she began exhibiting the rebellious years that every teen goes through, and especially it seems, those in Hollywood. Like a lot of teens, Blair dug deep into the shock value vault by hooking up with pop sensation Rick Springfield when she was only 15. She also dated wild man heavy rocker Glenn Hughes. By the time she was eighteen, she was arrested on drug charges (pot and cocaine).
Her most provocative romance was when she was with funkmeister, Rick James, in the 1980's, when she was in her early twenties. They posed together topless and the media went into a frenzy. James recalled in his autobiography: "Linda was incredible. A free spirit. A beautiful mind. A mind-blowing body. She liked getting high and getting down as much as I did. We posed topless for a photograph that showed up everywhere. We didn't care. We were doing our own thing our own way. It was a love affair that I hoped would last. It didn't."
Then, in a bold career move, Blair blew everyone away by posing nude for OUI magazine in the October 1982 issue -- she was 23. She also posed nude for an Italian edition of PLAYBOY and was seen in sexy poses in the US edition. Blair later said that posing nude "didn't do anything for my career".
To add to the bad girl/sleaze factor, she appeared in a string of exploitation movies such as BORN INNOCENT, SARAH T. – PORTRAIT OF A TEENAGE ALCOHOLIC, and the cult favorite, CHAINED HEAT. But the image of that young girl with the face of a monster in THE EXORCIST has never left the public's eye,

As the years went by, Blair seemed to settle down into middle-age. Now 61, she spends her time like many wealthy stars on philanthropic causes. But, back in the day, Linda Blair was a bit of a hellcat and let the world know that she was no longer the innocent little girl whose only shocking act was being possessed by a demon. Has the devil finally left Linda Blair?
