Still listed as being published 6 times a year, appearances of a new issue of CoF on the newsstands remained sporadic and the publication held closer to a quarterly schedule. This issue saw a rise in the cover price from 35 cents to 50 cents. A star-studded staff included the names Joe Dante, Chris Steinbrunner, Mike Parry, Lin Carter, Larry Ivie, Don Glut and John Stanley. Frank Brunner is credited for this issue's layouts. Highlights are a feature on Boris Karloff, the conclusion of an interview with author Ray Bradbury (conducted by John Stanley), and "All Manner of Fantasies", a history of horror films by Peter John Dyer.
