ZAP! BUCK ROGERS' DISINTEGRATOR RAY GUN
This auction item is proof positive that the Daisy Manufacturing Company made more than BB guns. Chapter serials were all the rage for theater goers in the 1930's and Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers were among their favorites. Buck Rogers was set in the 25th century, and, like Flash, battled many 'a monster and villain. Just like today, merchandising products for these imaginative serials were cranked out en masse to capitalize on their popularity. This "pop gun" came with "flashing" lights and was sold by Daisy, the same folks that would later advertise on the back cover of nearly every comic book on the spinner rack.
