HAMMER HORROR
Vol. 1, No. 3
May, 1995
Publisher: Marvel Comics UK Ltd.
Editor: Marcus Hearn
Cover: Photo cover
Pages: 52 A4-size pages
What made this 'zine great is because of its A-list contributors; one couldn't have picked a more able-bodied expert on Hammer Films than Marcus Hearn as editor -- then you had articles by Jonathan Rigby, whose string of books about horror history are second to none, and then other luminaries pitching in like Denis Meikle, Richard Klemenson and Stephen Jones on the masthead as "Consultant". This all adds up to be a bit of a sleeper of a magazine, as I think the talent that went into its production has been largely forgotten over the years. If you don't believe me, read this special issue on the making of THE MUMMY'S SHROUD!
