Have you ever seen a monkey walking with a cane? In a weird twist of nature, the effects of time and weather on a piece of pine has come close to providing us with an example. This specimen, shown in the "Oddities" department of the August 1940 issue of POPULAR SCIENCE, was found near California's Big Bear Lake.
