Jean Giraud, who went by his professional name of "Moebius", has passed away. Mr. Giraud was on the vanguard of the 1970'S new wave of comic illustrators featured frequently in the adult French comics magazine, METAL HURLANT, which was later printed in English under the title, HEAVY METAL.
