Devoted mainly to Hammer Films, this 50/50 mix magazine of articles and comics, also covers "Horror Around the World" with its continuing column, as well as a feature on the stateside THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Featured comic stories are the adaptation of CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (written by Donne Avenell and illustrated by Alberto Cuyas), and the continuing series "Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter" (written by Brian Clemens and illustrated by Ian Gibson), and "Van Helsing's Terror Tales" (written by Steve Parkhouse and illustrated by cover artist Brian Lewis). John Brosnan offers another installment of "Effectively Speaking", about the makeup work of Roy Ashston. It's interesting to note that films like TCSM were either in production or had just recently been released. A mini-time capsule of horror history!
