In 1963, the Louis Marx Toy Co. released a series of 6" soft plastic toy figures of the Universal monsters. There were six: Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature From the Black Lagoon, The Phantom of the Opera, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The originals came in either pumpkin orange or teal blue colors. I remember paying 25 cents apiece for mine at S. S. Kresge's Five and Dime.
Here is shown a complete set of the figures selling on eBay for $285 U.S. That makes them $47.50 each plus shipping. Although I have seen single figures selling for $99, this set is priced on the comparitively high side. I do have to say that they look in primo condition, though. The Marx monster figures are some of the most classic monster toys that were sold during the Monster Craze Daze of the 1960's.
These remind me of the old Monsters in My Pocket series, only color because these guys are the real thing. :)
