Henry Hull, Lon Chaney, Jr., Oliver Reed -- Jack Nicholson? The unlikely choice of the man who went bonkers in THE SHINING for a werewolf actually turned out pretty well. WOLF was a very good movie, IMHO. James Spader and Michelle Pfeiffer (who has never looked better) add solid supporting roles in this imaginative spin on full moon fever. And that's the theme of this magazine, imaginative movies. While the contents could have been easily been at home in Frederic S. Clarke's CINEFANTASTIQUE, he decided to further expand his place on magazine racks by spinning-off his best-selling title into yet more content. While it didn't last near as long as his flagship publication, its relatively short run provided readers with all the monster/sci-fi/fantasy goodness they could want.
