Promoted as "The World's First Online Consumer Magazine", the now-defunct THE SPOOK contained an interesting mix of fiction and non-fiction features, a lot of them with horror topics. The article shown below was a discussion with an impressive list of women horror writers that each explained just what it was that women liked (and needed) regarding horror. It's an interesting read for something that's over a decade old, and I suspect that their opinions haven't wavered any.
