This was one of the scads of "jungle" comics that littered the comic racks in the 1940's and 1950's. As per usual, some were good, some were terrible. TERRORS OF THE JUNGLE lies more towards the top end, mainly because of L.B. Cole's striking covers and Jay Disbrow's and Matt Baker's art. "Bride of the Devil-Beast" features fantastically imaginative-named Zong, a Kong-clone, who -- guess what? -- menaces a beautiful girl. Of course, like all lecherous gorillas, he meets his end. The Matt Baker stories are both starring Rulah, one of Fox Comics' jungle girl staples.
