WEIRD THRILLERS
Vol. 1 No. 4
Summer 1952
Approved Comics, Inc. (Ziff-Davis Comic Group)
Cover: Norman Saunders
Pages: 36
Cover price: 10 cents
The use of quality artists lends a more "sophisticated" look to this series from Ziff-Davis when compared to some of the other, rougher-looking product from the time. That they could hire one of their pulp cover artists, the legendary Norman Saunders, is proof positive. Interiors by Kubert, Infantino, and Tuska, as well as the great wonder of one-page stories, Everett Raymond Kinstler only reinforce the claim. Still no confirmed names are given for the script writers in this series.
