Born this day in 1875, Edgar Rice Burroughs was the greatest fantasy/adventure author of all time. The creator of Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, Carson of Venus, the list goes on and on. He was so popular that a city in Southern California's San Fernando Valley was named after his most famous character, Tarzana!
