60 YEARS OF FAMOUS MONSTERS DOWN THE (YOU) TUBE

I clicked on this at YouTube expecting to see a retrospective of our beloved monster mag, but instead watched a panel of people I do not recognize talk about their current projects. Still, this video shows the viewer the current state of FM and what we have to expect in the future. In the short term, it looks like any vestige of the FM that us Monster Kids are familiar with has been relegated to an annual "art" issue and a series of comic books under the American Gothic Press imprint. It's good to see there is still a healthy interest in monsters, but I guess we'll have to leave it to 'zines like SCARY MONSTERS and MONSTER BASH to carry on the vintage monster vibe and titles like LITTLE SHOPPE OF HORRORS to preserve the historical monster movie legacy.
