Adapted from the movie (which would be released in the U.S. in December, 1961), Dell Movie Classic's THE PHANTOM PLANET featured pencils and inks by Golden Age artist John "Jack" Lehti (1912-1991). Lehti contributed work to the Tarzan and Secret Agent X-9 newspaper strips, as well as the first series of DETECTIVE COMICS for National Periodicals (later to become DC Comics).
The "way out" story must be read to be believed.
