DEADTIME STORIES NO. 42: E.F. BENSON IN WEIRD TALES

To lovers of the macabre and ghostly tales, E.F. Benson (24 July 1867 – 29 February 1940) needs no introduction. The British novelist, biographer, archaeologist and short story writer is best known for his ghost stories, many of which were combined with a touch of the eerie. Horror master H.P. Lovecraft mentions Benson's accomplishments in the genre in his famous essay, "Supernatural Horror in Literature".

Provided this evening is a sample of his work, from WEIRD TALES, October 1929.

Have a pleasant evening, fear fans!
