KING-SIZED KONG PRESSBOOK

Just like the saying, "Everything is big in Texas", everything is also big when it comes to RKOs 1933 mega-hit, KING KONG. Take this pressbook, for instance -- measuring 12" x 16" closed, it opens into a whopping 12" x 32", depicting an array of posters. Among other promotional gimmicks, it includes a "Big 'King Kong' Klip-Out" section for a "Swell 12-day Newspaper Stunt!!!"

Nice "promo-pack"... Most of this we have never seen... not a big fan of Kong, but still very impressive !! William Castle was about "promotional" things ... well put together assortment of pieces for this film's "Hype" , at least for its time (early 30's)...
Great post, good Sir...!!

King Kong is one of the more "memorabilia-rich" films from the 1930s. Thanks for stopping to comment at MMW!
