MONSTER WORLD NO. 5 (PART 1)
MONSTER WORLD
Vol. 1 No. 5
October 1965
Editor: Forrest J Ackerman
Cover: Gray Morrow
Pages: 68
Another 68-page romp through 60s monsters. Beginning with a cover by celebrated comics artist Gray Morrow depicting the 50s hulking horror himself, Tor Johnson, the issue is spotlighted with articles on the history of Hammer films, a preview of AIP's THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD (released as DIE, MONSTER, DIE!), a Helen Chandler obit, and coverage of Ed Wood's goofy BRIDE OF THE MONSTER. Included is a 3-page announcement heralding Ray Harryhausen's work on the latest Hammer dino-flick, 1,000,000 B.C. (released the same year as ONE MILLION YEARS, B.C.).
