LAST WEEK I WROTE ABOUT the new title from Archie Comics, AFTERLIFE WITHE ARCHIE. The zombie series has a promising start with a solid story and above average art. The first issue has sold out from the publisher.
Over the years, Archie Comics has not entirely neglected the subject of monsters. After all, our favorite creatures have been fodder for humor as much as any other subject. This was not lost to clever cartoonists as they found different ways to show characters engaged in familiar tropes found in horror films, such as the mad scientist and the giant gorilla.
Pictured here are several examples, including two with everybody's favorite screen monster, THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.
