Abbott and Costello weren't the only the comedians who spoofed the Universal monsters-- Jerry Lewis had is fun with them, too.
Originally seen in DC's THE ADVENTURES OF JERRY LEWIS #83 (July-August 1964), "Scared Silly" was reprinted in the October-November 1970 issue of SUPER DC GIANT. Written by Arnold Drake and art by Bob Oskner, I think the comedy romp is a hoot.
FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND is mentioned in the story and Forry printed the segment into FM #29 (July 1964).

The market is probably pretty small, but I'd buy collections of the Jerry Lewis and Bob Hope monster stories. They scream 60's weirdness.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind 'em at all. They're a lot of fun.
