Another classic issue from the earlier years of FM. Includes the first part of the 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH filmbook, Bert Gordon's VILLAGE OF THE GIANTS, Lugosi's haunted house, "An Hour with Karloff" and a Frank Reicher obit.
If i'm not mistaken, the conclusion of the filmbook, 20 Million Miles To Earth, didn't conclude until about 10 years later with the August 1975 issue of FM (#118).
ReplyDeleteThe second and concluding part of the filmbook was in the next issue (#38, April 1965). You're correct that the second part was in issue 118, but it is a reprint from #38. The first part was reprinted in issue 117.
ReplyDeleteYeah - Don't know what the hell I was thinking. The original printing of part 1 of the filmbook was in the final issue (#8) of Warren's Spacemen but part 2 was never printed until FM #38.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I didn't ad is the filmbook is from the original 1957 "Amazing Stories Science Fiction Novel" adapted by Henry Slesar from the movie.
