I don't know how I overlooked them, but I haven't posted an issue of FANTASTIC MONSTERS OF THE FILMS since way back in 2018. Forthwith, I intend to remedy that, Monster Kids. While no month is given for the date of publication, this is the last issue of 1962 so I suspect it probably came out around October or November.

The Terrors of Topanga Canyon were at it again, putting together what was essentially a fanzine that was professionally printed and sold on newsstands. What separated this from other monster magazines was its use of more color, including tinted interiors. And like other 'zines, they relied on lot on publicity materials from production companies that were looking to promote their films to a targeted fan base. That and articles based on their own involvement with films makes FMOF a cut above.

What is that monster on the green page at the end from? I don't recognize it. In the actual inset for the contest I recognize the monster from "It! The Terror from Beyond Space" but not the other one. Hmmm.
