Lest we Monster Kids forget our roots, here is an early issue of the magazine that -- along with the SHOCK THEATER TV package -- started what would become the worldwide monster craze, FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND #36 (December 1965).
The lead article is THE MUMMY'S GHOST filmbook. Other content includes features on THE ALLIGATOR PEOPLE, THE MAGIC SWORD and RETURN OF THE FLY. There are two articles on monster makeup and the usual fun-filled photo-filled articles with Forry's patented puns, such as "You Axed For It". The cover art is by Vic Prezio.
