REMEMBERING HARRYHAUSEN'S 'JASON'
As a youngster, I thrilled to the fantastical creations in JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS. It was movies like these (with that amazing "skeleton warrior" battle) that propelled my imagination beyond my 1960s mundane existence. It was later that I found out that a man named Ray Harryhausen was responsible for creating the images that so affected my Sense of Wonder.
In the January 2018 issue of SCIFI NOW, Harryhausen's 1963 film is remembered as a classic of storytelling and visual imagery. I couldn't agree more!
