JASON EDMISTON PAINTS MONSTERS
If Jason Edmiston paints what he sees, then he lives in a world of monsters. A frequent cover artist for monster mags such as FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND, Edmiston has developed a technique that pays homage to another FM cover artist, Basil Gogos with his high contrast color palettes, but at the same time maintains his own personal style. He describes himself as a "traditional artist" who uses acrylics on watercolor paper or wood panel.
Here are a few examples of his work found at the GEEK ART site. My favorite among the classics is The Wolf Man and I like Leatherface among the new monsters.
