In efforts to compete in the then hot market for monster movie magazines, Charlton Publications, better known for their second-rate line of comics, produced a second-rate line of monster 'zines.

If you are a regular reader of MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD you know that, despite their dubious rep in Monsterology circles, I love these titles! I have used the term "rough charm" before, and indeed, they were of lesser all-around quality.

In 1962 appeared a one-shot special spin-off from the regularly-published MAD MONSTERS and HORROR MONSTERS called VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES. It quickly faded into monster mag antiquity.

Now popping up occasionally for sale at considerably higher prices than its original cover price of 35 cents in 1962, here is a copy that was recently up for sale on eBay for $350 in Very Good to Fine condition.
