HOWLING AT THE MOON

Last night the moon was full in Scorpio at 8:46PM PDT. It was also the closest the moon will get to Earth again in a while. Up here in the Pacific Northwest it appeared huge.

Once I coughed up the fur ball and shook off the hair growing on my palms, I broke out my trusty Nikon 5100 and fired off a few shots.

With the gobbets of dark clouds drifting by the great silver orb, a snippet of poetry came to mind:

Even a man
Who is pure in heart,
And says his prayers by night;
May become a wolf
When the wolfbane blooms,
And the autumn moon is bright!
