Even though he was Jewish, Will Eisner still recognized the influence Christmas had on people whether they were Christians or not. He observed that this holiday brought people together, if only if for a short time, in kindness to each other. The potent message compelled him to use this theme in a number of his stories in THE SPIRIT.
Kitchen Sink Press collected these and published them as a book in 1994.
