Jim Matthews took his monster magazine seriously and it shows with thoughtful and informative articles without the usual poking fun. The highlight of this issue is an interview with Edgar G. Ulmer, the director of Universal's THE BLACK CAT (1934), celebrating its 90th anniversary of release this year. Also included are articles on THE HOUSE OF USHER, THE WASP WOMAN, and THE GIANT BEHEMOTH, and features on The Mummy Movies, Cats and a text fiction story. Lots more in this very good 'zine!
I've never seen this one before. Great layout.
ReplyDeleteWould you do me a favor and make a post on my blog. I'm not sure the comments are coming through. Mention it here if you do make a post so I'll know I have a problem.
Rip, if you're still having trouble, try signing out of Google and then sign back in again -- and/or clear your cash under "More Tools". Good luck!
ReplyDeleteJust got back in to check. You came through alright. I appreciate the assist. I was fussing with the look of the blog a bit yesterday and was afraid I'd messed something up. Now I know it's just the regular indifference.
DeleteMy redesigns were inspired by this blog. I'm very impressed by what you get done here.
Thanks again.
