Published by World's Work, a UK subsidiary of Doubleday, the MASTER THRILLER pulp digest series' first issue appeared in July, 1933. It was an anthology magazine and each issue covered a different genre. This particular issue (#32, December 1939) was entitled " Tales of Ghosts and Haunted Houses", and aptly subtitled for the time of year as, "Uncanny Tales for Winter Reading". Now, over 80 years later, you can read the stories that were spooking people back then.
