From the innocent victim of a perverse lab experiment to a wanton harlot possessed by a demonic entity "from beyond", Barbara Crampton has firmly established herself as a leading lady of horror. Noted for her roles in the incredibly wild Lovecraft spoof RE-ANIMATOR (1985) and the sexy strangeness of the off-the-rails HPL adaptation, FROM BEYOND (1986), the still gorgeous 62 year-old actress is starring in her latest film, SACRIFICE, another tale of Lovecraftian horror.
Back in 1986, to help promote the newly-released FROM BEYOND, Miss Crampton provided yet another surprise for her growing cult of slavering fans, an appearance in PLAYBOY! It is unclear how this materialized, but it is commonly thought that Charles "Puppet Master" Band, producer of Full Moon Features had something to do with it, considering his penchant for unabashed promotion. That Crampton went along with it shows that she wasn't afraid to bare it all for her career.
