Why do we love monsters? That is a question that has been raised time and again (including my Mom, who could never figure out my obsession!). The late, great Stan Lee attempted to answer this in his special editorial (shown above) that kicks off the first issue of this quartet of classic reprints called MONSTER MENACE.

Editor Mort Todd (who also was editor-in-chief for CRACKED magazine) selects a handful of some of the best examples of 50's Marvel monster comics from the pages of such titles as, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, TALES OF SUSPENSE and AMAZING ADULT FANTASY, and has them remastered in crisp images and vibrant colors. You don't get the immortal Fin Fang Foom here, but you do get Tim Boo Ba! Excelsior!
