H.G. Wells is recognized as a master of science-fiction. A devoted socialist, Wells incorporated many of his philosophies into his speculative fiction. One of his best-known tales is "The Time Machine". It was made into a film in 1960.

This comic book adaptation of THE TIME MACHINE was scripted by an unknown writer, but the art is easily recognizable as the work of the late, great Alex Toth.

As a young Monster Kid, I saw the movie at the Strand Theater in Redondo Beach, CA., located at the southeast corner of Catalina Avenue and Torrance Blvd. The theater is long gone and in its place is -- guess what? -- condos.

Yes -- early Toth work.
