WORMS OF THE EARTH (WEIRD TALES)
In an issue that showcased the first installment of Otis Adelbert Kline's novel, "Buccaneers of Venus", was Robert E. Howard's story, "Worms of the Earth", probably the best known of his handful of tales featuring the Pictish dark hero, Bran Mak Morn.
The contents page describes the story as, "a grim shuddery tale of the days when Roman legions ruled in Britain -- a powerful story of a gruesome horror from the bowels of the earth."
H.P. Lovecraft commented that, "few readers will ever forget the hideous and compelling power of that macabre masterpiece."
Here, now, for your reading pleasure is the complete "Worms of the Earth", by Robert E. Howard, as it appeared in WEIRD TALES Vol. 20 No. 5, November 1932.
