The success of the film THE EXORCIST spawned a lot of deviltry in the publishing industry, comics included. Marvel's THE HAUNT OF HORROR had over half of this issue dedicated to Satana, the Devil's Daughter, who they made a pretty big deal out of, and Gabriel, the Devil Hunter. Satana was created by Roy Thomas and John Romita, Sr. and Gabriel was created by Doug Moench and Billy Graham.
If the Satana story art looks familiar it's because it was drawn by Enrique Romero, the same person who drew the AXA newspaper strip, occasionally seen right here at WoM. The inside front/back cover mini-poster is by Neal Adams.
