I don't know of any regularly-published monster magazine that could cram so much good stuff into so few pages as THE MONSTER TIMES. This issue (#15) is no exception. Things get started with a nice long article on Harryhausen's THE VALLEY OF GWANGI, followed by Jeff Wasserman's overview of vampires in the comics. Next up is an article written by filmmaker/makeup artist Alan Ormsby who discusses his craft and his movie, CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS. If Ormsby's name sounds familiar, I ran a series of posts on his book about makeup and how kids can put on monster shows. There's features on GODZILLA VS. THE SMOG MONSTER, IT CONQUERED THE WORLD, H.P. Lovecraft and a coffin-load more. Well, as one body snatcher said to the other: "Dig in!"
