RON GOULART AND GIL KANE'S STAR HAWKS (CHAPTER 2)

In 1977, science-fiction author Ron Goulart teamed up with comic book artist Gil Kane to create the science-fiction/adventure strip STAR HAWKS. It ran in THE MENOMENEE FALLS GAZETTE from 3 October 1977 until 2 May 1981 -- three and a half years and 1,252 daily strips.

  1. I have the Starhawks paperbacks. I have looked at the Hermes collection more than a few times. Maybe it needs to go on my Christmas list.

  2. It would be nice to have it in book form, but I see the hardback is sold out from them. These days I prefer HB's over PB's as they hold up a lot better.

  3. The Hermes Press book is a major disappointment of minor dimensions. The 3 volume Library of American Comics set seems to have taken the Hermes strips and blown them up to a decent size but the loss of definition shows.

  4. Reminds of a book collection of the complete run of Paul Blaisdell's Fantastic Monsters of the Films magazine I purchased some time ago. When I received it, I took a look through it and EVERY page scan was blurred to the point of being illegible. Returned it for another copy and same thing! Unbelievable that someone would publish such a piece of junk. Caveat emptor!
