STANLEY'S HORROR STORIES NO. 5 (PART 1)

"Night falls, and things arise from their foul graves to strike terror in the hearts of mortals!"

Ed Wood continues his craft of weird story writing as only he can here under the pseudonyms Obadia Kemph and Whittier Fowles (and possibly others).

Theodore S. Hecht (August 24, 1920 - January 1, 2010) edited this series of sordid and quasi-racy sex and horror magazines, as well as Stanley's line of reprint horror comics magazines from 1969-1971. He also edited Stanley's REAL MEN. An Army Air-Force veteran of WW II, he worked out of Washington for LIFE magazine before landing work in various independent magazines. Before his stint with Stanley Publications, he edited Myron Fass' humor magazine, LUNATICKLE, published under a subsidiary of Fawcett Publications.
