Editor Dez Skinn was "so knocked out by the unusual concept of a rifle-toting, horse-riding, vampire-slaying priest" in the character Father Shandor in the Hammer film DRACULA, PRINCE OF DARKNESS that he wanted to further develop him in a comic strip. The result was "Spawn From Hell's Pit", scripted by Skinn and Steve Moore (who had previously written the adaptation for SEVEN GOLDEN VAMPIRES) and with the usual excellent artwork by John Bolton. Skinn wanted to make it a continuing series, but readers would have to wait until issue #16 for the next one. Meanwhile, more great stuff in this issue.
