BY CROM, WHAT A STATUE!

Scheduled for release in early 2025 is this magnificent statue based on the image of Conan and Valeria from the original movie poster by Italian painter, Renato Casaro. The likenesses are better than a lot of other character statues I've seen.

Conan the Barbarian (1982) 25 Inch Tall Poster Tribute Statue Arnold Schwarzenneger Sandal Bergman
Based on the iconic film poster painted by Renato Casaro for the 1982 fantasy epic Conan the Barbarian, the mighty warrior is brought to life with Static Six: Conan the Barbarian!

Conan the Barbarian statue translates Renato Casaro’s art style into a three-dimensional tribute to his classic film poster: Conan stands triumphantly atop rocky terrain, wielding the Atlantean Sword toward the sky. Ready to strike in his signature helmet and chained gladiator loincloth, Conan is accompanied by the fearless brigand Valeria, who fiercely thrusts her sword into the ground.

CONAN THE BARBARIAN FEATURES:
  • Approximately 25 inches tall from base to the top of Atlantean Sword x 8 inches wide
  • Hand painted hyper-realistic detailing
  • Sculpted fur accents
Retail price: $375.00

I'm not into statues (my wallet thanks me) but I can't help but be impressed by the accuracy of these figures. That really looks like Arnold, at least as he was many moons ago.

The most I'll spring for is a model kit these days and even those are crawling up in price in the $40-$70 range. A few years ago I paid $90 for a kit that eventually got re-issued at a much lower cost!
